Tire Services

Driving with damaged or worn-down tires contributes to accidents: the National Highway and Traffic Safety Administration reports nearly 11,000 tire-related motor vehicle crashes each year. Kwik Kar® technicians can inspect your tires and recommend what steps to take if they detect worn treads, punctures, or other damage.

Tire Rotation Services

Tire tread wears down at slightly different rates for each tire. A tire rotation and wheel balancing service encourages even wear and prevents weight imbalances, extending the life of your tires. Tire alignment services adjust the tires’ angle to ensure proper contact with the road.

Only select Kwik Kar locations offer tire services. Call or visit your local Kwik Kar center to check if they perform tire rotation, tire alignment, and wheel balancing services.

Tire Replacement Services

Worn, damaged tires need replacing for optimum performance and safety, and can result in failed state vehicle inspections

Select Kwik Kar centers sell and replace tires. Check with your local service center to see if they offer these tire services.

Signs Your Tires Need to Be Rotated

  • One tire has more signs of wear than the others.
  • Tires vibrate while driving, especially at high speeds.
  • One tire has consistently lower tire pressure than the others.
  • The vehicle pulls to one side.
  • Increased road noise.

How Often Should You Rotate Your Tires?

Most manufacturers recommend a tire rotation and wheel balancing service every 4,000 to 5,000 miles to promote more even and longer wear, especially on front wheel drive vehicles.

Signs Your Tires Need to Be Replaced

  • Tire treads are shallow, worn down, or balding.
  • Cracks develop in the tire sidewall.
  • Areas of the tire bulge or blister.
  • Vibrations while driving, even on well-maintained surfaces.
  • Tire wear indicator bars are visible.

How Often Should I Replace My Tires?

Your tires and brakes are most important to your safety and that of your passengers. A general rule is to purchase new tires every 40,000 miles, four years, or when a tire is damaged beyond repair. You may need new tires sooner depending on your climate, local road conditions, driving style, and how well you maintain your tires.
